Your body is wise beyond belief

When you cut your finger, break a bone, are exposed to germs or toxins, excess heat or cold, your body mobilizes resources to heal itself from within and to maintain itself in a state of well being.

Dr. Stephan Bamberger is a former NASA research scientist, who became interested in both alternative medicine and alternatives to the wisdom of science when he recognized the limitations of the scientific method when applied to health care. This led him to creating "Ask the Body" Seminars and both he and Dr. Lynn to offering r "Ask the Body" Coaching Services as part of the care they give to patients.

The pitfalls of a scientific approach

That the body has wisdom is largely ignored by modern science, which has proclaimed itself to be the all wise, all knowing, and all powerful god. When you become ill, you are expected to turn to and trust the findings of science and training of doctors with your health and well being. One problem with this is that we know that one man's medicine is another man's poison. What a given research study may find to be effective for thousands of people may be harmful to you.

A danger of trusting science when making decisions about your health is that research scientists know how to design an experiment to get the results they or their employers want, and often gain financially if they are able to produce those results. Scientists affiliated with pharmaceutical and neutraceutical companies routinely conduct research that are designed to sell a product, rather than investigate its benefits and adverse effects objectively. Adverse and toxic side effects are often under-reported. Studies done by the manufacturers that demonstrate the dangers or ineffectiveness of medicines are rarely published.

Ask the Body Seminars:

Dr. Stephan Bamberger offers "Ask the Body Seminars" to health professionals and the general public. Participants are often greatly surprised to learn that what they thought was good for the body was really not, and what they believed to be bad sometimes had no negative effects at all, and on occasion was found to actually be health enhancing.

Seminar Topics Include:

- Modern science: the nature of the beast
- Body wisdom - fact or fiction?
- How and why we block our natural knowing
- Why reclaiming the wisdom of the body is important
- Methods of accessing the wisdom of your body
- How to access the wisdom of the body of another person
- Practicum - practicing what you have learned
