What is Chiropractic?Chiropractic removes subluxations interfere with the ability of the nervous system to coordinate and control body function so that you can maintain optimal health from within. Although millions of sick people, some of them dying, get well again through chiropractic care, the aim of chiropractic is not to heal disease, but to remove interference to the body's ability to heal itself and to maintain health. This is an alien concept in a world that believes that only pills and potions can heal and things outside of the individual can heal things that exist inside of the individual. A subluxation - is classically defined as "the loss of juxtaposition of a vertebrae (one of the bones in your spine) with the one above it or the one below it in ways that produce pressure on a nerve and interfere with the transmission of mental impulses. It is the cause of most disease. Dr. Bamberger's Five Tiered Model of a Subluxation - Dr. Lynn Bamberger has expanded the classical definition of a subluxation to address the wholeness of a subluxation, rather than just the spine and cranium, and the and the multi-dimensional nature of a subluxation so that she can treat the person body, mind, and spirit, as well as the interaction of the individual with the world around him. Chiropractic Restores
Optimal Health
Chiropractic works to restore and maintain optimal health through a variety of gentle and non-invasive adjusting procedures to bring your body back into balance and coordination, so that it is able to work as a functional whole, and to heal and regenerate itself, if it has become ill. Chiropractic does not directly heal the body; it works indirectly by restoring the body's own ability to heal and regenerate itself. The Primary Goal of Chiropractic is to Reduce Nerve Stress, the Road Blocks to Wellness.Subluxations produce stress to the nervous system. The primary objective of any chiropractic treatment is that of reducing, or removing entirely, nerve stress through a chiropractic adjustment. The purpose of an adjustment is to remove the stresses that are roadblocks to wellness, thereby restoring the nervous system to optimal functioning. Unlike medicine which seeks to remove the disease through the use of external agents, chiropractic adjustments remove blockage to normal control, allowing the body to heal itself from inside of itself.
