How well trained is a doctor of chiropractic? 

Most people are surprised to learn that many aspects of chiropractic and medical education are similar, but this is not surprising since they both treat the human body. Chiropractic education is every bit as comprehensive and intensive as medical education. Before attending chiropractic school chiropractors complete requisite undergraduate course work with a heavy emphasis on science, as do medical doctors. Once in chiropractic school, the four year course of study in chiropractic is equal to that required of medical students.
