 Cranio-Sacral Therapy - is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of a physiological body system called the Cranio Sacral system. The Cranio Sacral system is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid which form the fluid-filled sac around the core of the nervous system - surrounding, nourishing, and protecting the brain and spinal cord. Cranio-Sacral Therapy uses a gentle, non-invasive method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the Cranio-Sacral system. Developed by John E. Upledger, DO, this manual therapy encourages the body's natural healing mechanisms to improve the operation of the central nervous system, dissipate the negative effects of stress, enhance health, and strengthen resistance to disease.
