Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) is an offshoot of Total Body Modification (TBM). It is a chiropractic technique that can be used to locate and release emotional disturbances, that interfere with the optimal functioning of your body. Dr. Scott Walker, who developed NET, called these interferences neuro-emotional complexes (NEC's). Using NET, a health practitioner can determine if an unresolved emotional issue is causing your physical illness. NET brought forward a quantum leap forward in mind-body healing.

What Causes Neuro Emotional Complexes (NEC's)? During times of change in a person's life he (she) is particularly vulnerable to the formation of an NEC, though they can develop at any time. NEC's often deal with primal issues such as your experience in your mother's womb, the birth of siblings, your first love, your emotional response to illnesses, accidents, operations, abortions, any romantic failure, death or illness of a loved one, parental conflict, fights, abandonment. The list goes on and on. Any emotional event, real or imagined (as in nightmares or misperceptions), may impact the nervous system in ways that create an NEC. All events are  termed emotional realities and should not necessarily be thought of as actual historical realities.
